1950s Welsh Railway Clocks By Gents Of Leicester

Large vintage 1950s railway station clocks by Gents of Leicester. This clock was originally used in a station in Wales, the gentleman who salvaged it originally worked for the Welsh Railways.

Totally original aluminum case with original green paint & great signs of age & use, original glass & clock hands all in very good condition. This clock is still running perfectly on its original mechanism via a battery powered pulse driver. This clock has been expertly restored, rewired & PAT safety tested.

 


Gents' of Leicester, also known as Gents & Company Limited, was established in Leicester, England, in 1872 by John Thomas Gent. For over a century, the company was a well-known manufacturer of electrical equipment, in particular its electric clocks, which were used in public buildings and railway stations all over the world.
